Start the walk around the city with the promenade through the fresh park on the lakeside. Sun, herbs and standing along the pier white yachts create the impression of the resort town on the Mediterranean coast.
Here nearby you can have a small snack with great cheese pizza and salad in Fontano's Subs.
Here you can look at almost every inhabitant of this industrial city. Two 15-meter-high boulders with LED screens look straight into the eyes, smile, flirt and send kisses.
I do not know where the heart of Chicago was before but since 2004 it has been put up for the admiration in Millennium Park. Huge drop of solidified metal mimics a surrounding reality and almost merges with the sky and skyscrapers. Convex buildings flow on perfectly smooth sides while remaining stationary. And inside the polished surface of the 'The Bean' is playing with the brain leading to dizziness by kaleidoscope duplicated realities.
4.The Chicago Theatre
Time to immerse into the city and enjoy the views of the Chicago Theatre. Its bright sign is visible from far away and if you see the facade of the Paris Arc de Triomphe here you are not wrong -it is really it.
On the banks of the Chicago River in the eye catches two buildings resembling 2 huge corncobs. The project was completed in 1967 and its main feature is the spiral parking almost to the 15th floor. Fenced only by steel cables the safety was of course already checked by some careless drivers whose cars are now diving in the river.
Michigan Avenue is the main artery of this city that is crammed with cafes and shops. There are all the major department stores of the country but be sure not to miss Uniqlo — on the top floor you can take a cup of coffee and meditate on the endless stream of cars sandwiched among the smooth skyscrapers.
Well you can end your day on the 103 floor watching the Chicago gradually creeps into the evening twilight and steadily there are lights of a new different city appearing out of the darkness as if on the Polaroid photo.
Have a good day, MarrySav!)
